Tea breaks

I work as a project manager in an IT firm in Mumbai, where the demands of tight budgets and tighter deadlines make every day feel like a marathon. Alongside this, there's the silent battle of managing my personal finances and dealing with minor but nagging health issues that flare up with stress.

However, the real highlight of my day comes when I step out with my coworkers for our evening tea breaks. At a small corner tea shop, we gather around with our cups of steaming chai, each of us eager to spill the day's frustrations and laugh over our minor misfortunes.

These sessions quickly turned into something I cherished. Whether it was commiserating over a missed deadline or celebrating a small project win, every story shared added a layer of connection between us. It was during these talks that I realized how voicing my struggles and listening to others put my own issues into perspective.

The tea might be ordinary, but the conversations are anything but. They serve as a reminder that while the challenges of work and life are relentless, they are also universal—and a lot more bearable when you're not facing them alone.
